Once I place an order, how long will it take to get to me?

As a general rule, mosaic orders placed before noon eastern time, will ship that same day.  Mosaic orders will ship from Florida either by UPS or FedEx.  Usually, ground shipping will take 5 working days.  You do have the option to select any of the several air shipping options.

 

How do I install a mosaic?

Our first recommendation is to allow you pool contractor to install your mosaics.  Some contractors may void your warranty if you install yourself, so you need to talk with your contractor first.  If all is good, then click here to read our article on DYI installation.  We also recommend that you contact The Tile Council of North America for their publication titled TCNA Handbook.  There is a cost for the publication.

 

Will my mosaics freeze in the winter?

The major manufacturers of mosaics for swimming pools, such as Artistry in Mosaics and Custom Mosaics make their products specifically to be used in a swimming pool.  The ceramic clay they use are considered “frost proof” which means the mosaics will not crack when installed properly and remain below the pool’s water surface.  If you want to install outside of the pool, such as a wall, I would suggest you look for the phrase, in the Product Description, Frost Proof Porcelain.  For extreme conditions, consider purchasing our Glass Mosaics.  For more detail, check out our article on the subject.

 

Are there applications for your mosaics other than pool/spa?

Yes, the application opportunities for mosaics are endless.  Whether the mosaic is one of our standards or a custom created from your design, mosaics have been used on bar tops, showers, kitchens backsplashes, interior/exterior walls, etc.  Take a look at our article on applications other than the pool.
